‘The Catch’

Back down to Monkey Jump Productions (Melbourne Australia @ Ziggy Tone Studios) recently to meet with Shane Nicholson discussing the album ‘The Catch’, quick coffee and a re listen to the songs.

Always great listening to the advice from ‘experience’ and Shane with his career history in songwriting and producing has plenty to offer and for that I am truly thankful. Credits will be on the album but to Shane for his instrumental additions, vocals and production - thank you. Jen Mize’ vocals are undeniably a powerful addition to the songs with her soulful feel and melody - thank you. Josh Schuberth nailed the drumming so tightly that not even a Western Australian cyclone could dislodge that timing. Tasty as - thank you.

In the final stages now with mastering of the songs in the capable hands of Jeff McCormack. The album title, song list, vinyl record A&B sides artwork for both digital and hard copies also near completion.

While at the studio I decided to lay a quick track down of a song recently written - ‘Droving And Rodeo Days’. A story for the Drovers and Cowboys who have lived the hard romantic life and perhaps are reminiscent of their past and may still yearn it !

The Ziggy team are always happy to give advice and look forward to spending more time down there recording.
